Green, large-scale, and cost-effective electricity storage is a prerequisite for the transition to a fossil-free society. Ligna Energy offers a cost-effective and climate-friendly solution for large-scale energy storage that promotes an accelerated transition towards fossil-free energy production globally. The company is based on research at Linköping University and develops technology to enable large-scale batteries based on organic electronic polymers and biopolymers from the forest, produced with a standard paper machine.
“For us, it is important to maintain the connection to Linköping University, and we are therefore pleased to have LiU Invest as an investor,” says Mattias Josephson, entrepreneur and one of the co-founders of Ligna Energy AB.
