LiU Invest was one of the first investors in Briteback AB, which started as a spin-off from research conducted at the Department of Computer and Information Science at the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Linköping University. The company has since changed its focus but still retains a core derived from that research. One of these changes is the merger with Lynes Technologies AB. To enable the inclusion of staff as shareholders, LiU Invest is now divesting a minor portion of its holdings in Lynes.
