Radar Reticence has developed a groundbreaking radar technology that addresses a growing problem in traffic safety. With the increasing use of radar sensors in cars to enable more advanced safety systems, the risk of radar signals being disrupted and creating interference is also growing. This can temporarily “blind” vehicles, thereby defeating the purpose of the safety systems. Radar Reticence has solved this problem with an innovative technology that reduces the risk of signal interference and optimizes radar function.

LiU Invest became involved with Radar Reticence early on, back in the beginning of 2024, when the company was still a project within the business incubator LEAD’s trainee program, EIR. Initially, LiU Invest focused on helping to shape the company around the technology that had been successfully verified within the EIR program. Together with the researchers behind the technology and Frida Wygler, who was then a trainee, a mutual interest was expressed in building a company based on the developed technology.

A shared vision was established, and through a Letter of Intent, an investment from LiU Invest was agreed upon, contingent on certain milestones being achieved. With continued support from LEAD and significant commitment both in the lab and in the market, these milestones have now been reached, enabling LiU Invest to complete its investment of SEK 500,000. Together with the founders’ own investment of SEK 250,000, this has created the conditions for a dedicated team that can take the company further on its journey as a startup.

“We are incredibly happy and proud to welcome LiU Invest as a partner on our journey. With their support, we can now take the next step in terms of both technological development and company building. We look forward to accelerating our development and further evolving our innovative and groundbreaking radar technology,” says Frida Wygler, CEO of Radar Reticence AB.

“Radar Reticence has a unique and competent technical team, and together with Frida’s entrepreneurial spirit, they have created a very strong startup team. They have quickly demonstrated their ability to validate the technology in the lab and attract interest in the market,” says Stefan Asplund, Investment Manager at LiU Invest.
