The Link\u00f6ping-based company CBot develops a platform for computer vision and artificial intelligence, enabling the creation of various types of stationary or mobile robots that see and understand their surroundings. This is particularly suitable for industries involving the picking or assembly of objects, such as construction, e-commerce, or logistics. <\/p>\n
The first product, developed in close collaboration with prospective customers, is a robot that lays floor tiles on large surfaces, such as supermarkets, malls, and airports. Today, this work is performed manually, which is a strenuous and time-consuming task. <\/p>\n
CBot’s four founders, with many years of experience in computer vision at Link\u00f6ping University, have developed the advanced software that controls the robot. Using sensors and smart algorithms, the robot replaces large portions of the manual labor performed in the construction industry today. The robot “sees” and understands its surroundings and can therefore place tiles on a floor surface with high precision. <\/p>\n
