OBEO IPR has dedicated its business to managing patents that protect ideas and inventions which arose in research projects in organic bioelectronics, with a focus on medical technology applications. The company was founded in 2007 and is owned by more than 30 scientists, originating from the technical faculty and departments ITN and IFM at Linköping University. OBEO IPR’s current portfolio consists of 14 granted patents (families 1—6), and two public applications (families 7—8). Commercial activities from the patent portfolio are conducted via the spin-off Celluminova and the planned subsidiary Iontronics.
