ArgusEye manufactures sensor systems to streamline the development and production of biological drugs using integrated sensors. Today, many of the new and most important drugs are made from biological substances, including vaccines and cancer drugs. The production is very complex and there are high quality requirements. Many tests must be carried out in all process steps, which requires manual efforts that become time-consuming and costly. With integrated sensors, important process and quality parameters can be measured and monitored in real time, enabling a more intensified and automated production process. The patented technology is the result of 15 years of research at Linköping University, originating in the Faculty of Technology and the department IFM, and combines a technology called nanoplasmonics with fiber optics.
